At DokLab we are passionate about producing documentary films which are devoted to geopolitical, social or cultural topics. We aim to create films that stimulate thought and action, which also stand the test of time. Meticulous story development and engaging analysis lie at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to reach an international audience by tapping into universal values.

Successful productions such as OSTROV – LOST ISLAND have been shown at festivals worldwide and won numerous awards, including the HotDocs Best International Feature Award and the Swiss Film Prize. TIBETAN WARRIOR was translated into eight languages by Netflix and BOTTLED LIFE is still being mentioned in the newspapers over 10 years after its release and has found its way into German school books. In addition to theatrical films, DokLab also produces for television (including SRF, RTS, ZDF/arte). DokLab GmbH, founded in 2006 by Urs Schnell and Dodo Hunziker, has been managed since July 2024 by Corinna Dästner, who has been a producer for the company since 2019.
